Complete the prescribed PAIA request form (Form 2 for a private body) available from the Information Regulator, and send it to the Information Officer at the address above.

State the record requested, the form of access required, your contact details, and, if you are requesting access in order to exercise or protect a right, which right that is and how the record would assist.

We will respond within 30 days of receiving a valid request. That period may be extended by a further 30 days in the circumstances allowed by PAIA, and we will notify you if that happens.

7. Fees

A request fee and access fees may be charged in accordance with the fees prescribed under PAIA. We will notify you of the amount payable before processing the request, and access may be withheld until the applicable fee is paid.

No request fee is payable by a personal requester for a record containing their own personal information.

8. Grounds for refusal

Access may be refused on the grounds set out in Chapter 4 of PAIA, including protection of another person's privacy, commercially sensitive or confidential information, legally privileged records, and records that would prejudice the safety of a person or property.

If a request is refused, we will give reasons and explain the remedies available to you.

9. Remedies

If you are dissatisfied with a decision, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at PAIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za, or apply to a court as provided for in PAIA.
